An Immingham woman's facing three years in prison after admitting to arson endangering life.

43-year-old Sarah Carlile of Bluestone Lane set fire to a house in November, it caused extensive damage but no one was hurt.

Police called her actions 'reckless'

Carlile was sentenced on Wednesday 20th December after she pleaded guilty at an earlier court hearing.

Officer in the case DC Andy Taylor said:

“Carlile was completely reckless, not considering the potentially devastating impact that her actions could have had for others in the area.

“I am reassured that she is now behind bars and no longer poses a risk to the wider community.

“Thankfully nobody was hurt in this instance, but I hope that this sentencing serves as a stark warning to anyone else considering committing arson.”
