Humberside police federation gives out food donations to help officers struggling with the cost of living
The "Fed Fridge" is the first of its kind to open in the region

It's been revealed some police officers in East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire are needing food donations from a new scheme to help them manage.
Humberside police federation has launched the ‘fed fridge’ .
It's first scheme of it's kind across the region.
We spoke to Lee Sims who's Chair of the Humberside Police Federation about the scheme.
Quite a few police officers were going to food banks
He told us: "When they start they're not paid enough".
"With regards to inflation and everything's that's going on we're about 25 per cent behind inflation over the last ten to 12 years."
"Police officers like everyone else are struggling."
We've listened to what our officers wanted
"We were made aware that quite a few officers were using food banks."
"That was startling and upsetting for us as a federation so we decided that we would start a "feed your kid for a quid" campaign."
"When we first started we made tin foods and pasta available but when we started speaking to the members we asked them what they wanted and they came in and said maybe for the children maybe a dessert."
"That's why we put in custard and biscuits."
Meanwhile the Government says they believe police officers have had a fair pay deal.
