Grimsby Docks could become home to start-up businesses under new plans

Plans have been unveiled to transform part of Grimsby Docks into a space for creative businesses and art studios.
If approved it would mean work on Fish Dock Road in the historic Kasbah area to make the buildings suitable for new start-up companies.
The new workspace has been developed by conservation architects Donald Insall Associates on behalf of North East Lincolnshire Council.
It would see Buildings 4, 8, 9, 10 and 11 on Auckland Road and Building 16 on Fish Dock Road turned into a new space for creative individuals and businesses.
It will incorporate studio space as well as a communal space for art installations and exhibitions.
The site will be developed in phases, with buildings 8, 9 and 10 coming first.
The buildings in the Kasbah area have a long history, mostly serving the fishing industry.
They've previously been occupied by a bank, sail printers, basket markets, engineers and boiler markers.
A few were bombed out and subsequently rebuilt after World War II.
Its part of long term plans to regenerate Grimsby Docks after years of decline, with Victoria Mills Silo and Haven Mill also set for renovation work.
