Grimsby’s Abbey Walk car park and High Street car park in Cleethorpes will have free parking available this month at certain times.

It's hoped the continuation of the Council's offer will help support the recovery of non essential shops during the pandemic

It'll be free from 1pm onwards throughout January.

North East Lincolnshire Council and its partner, ENGIE say shoppers can benefit from the offer - with no ticket required to be displayed after 1pm.

Councillor Philip Jackson, Leader of North East Lincolnshire Council, said: “As a Local Authority it is our duty for us to play our part and support the local economy and businesses as they continue their COVID-19 recovery.

“In extending this offer to January, we’re hoping to see businesses benefiting from local people returning to the high streets and supporting them and our local economy. But we all need to play our part and do this safely, following the Government guidance and remembering the basics – wash hands, cover face, and make space. "

Normal pay and display will be required from car park opening times until 1pm.
