Footpath testing works are starting in Grimsby today, Monday 25.

They'll be taking place at the Bargate and Dudley Street junction and on Hainton Avenue, between Sixhills Street and Catherine Street

They're expected to take no longer than 5 days to complete in both locations are to make sure the paths are designed correctly and to help with any future infrastructure changes in the area.

No traffic management will be required during the works, but pedestrians will be diverted onto the verge or adjacent footpath between 7:30am and 6pm each day.

The results of the testing will be used to support the ongoing development of improvement schemes in the areas. More details of the works will be announced as the schemes progress.

The testing works are essential to ensure the footpaths are designed correctly, any underground hazardous materials can be identified and removed safely and to allow utility infrastructure to be identified prior to works starting.
