In the town centre alone, six parking tickets and fifteen parking advisories were given.
Cllr Ron Shephard, portfolio holder for safer and stronger communities said:
“Because it’s a joint day of action, we’re able to offer a different service. We’re able to enforce on vehicles that we’re not usually able to stop like electric buggies and bikes.”
PC Becky Granger is a neighbourhood beat officer at Humberside Police, she said:
“Our police officers will be supporting the local enforcement officers in terms of getting details of people they’re stopping on bikes. We can use section 15 of the police perform act where we can ask for people’s names, and they have to give us them.”
