Rishi Sunak delivered his budget yesterday - but what do people across East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire think of it?

We've been finding out.

We spoke to Rob Grunner Secretary of the Humberside Police Federation.

Yesterday the Chancellor announced 20,000 more police officers to be employed into UK forces.

Rob says "from 2009 to 2018 officer numbers fell by 20,000 so would just be putting us back where we were 11 or 12 years ago".

"However we would always welcome any increase in officer numbers".

"It'll enable us to do more work in the communities and the new kinds of work such as cybercrime which wasn't as prevalent as was previously the case".

The chancellor’s Autumn budget report revealed the Humber region will be one of the first three freeports to be given the green light.

With operations beginning next month it will create new economic opportunities.

It's also estimated the move could lead to 7 thousand extra jobs.

The move will mean fewer regulations and some tax breaks.

Daffydd Williams is from ABP which runs the ports at Hull, Immingham, Grimsby and Goole.

He says the jobs created will be "mostly highly skilled jobs and it'll bring innovation and decarbonisation to the the Humber."
