Big rise in infections in North East Lincolnshire leads to fears about the area moving up a tier in restrictions.

It's thought people in the area have become more complacent.

With the continued rise in coronavirus cases across North East Lincolnshire health bosses say moving into tier 2 is 'not un-thinkable'.

In the first wave of the virus, the area had one of the lowest rates in the country.

However, it's thought this is now part of the problem- and has made locals complacent to the virus.

Geoff Barnes the deputy director of public health for North East Lincolnshire says they're not that surprised by the rise recently and is worried they'll continue to go up.
