Appeal for witnesses after reported Grimsby assault

Police are appealing for witnesses after a reported incident at 7:50pm on Friday 13 August on Cartergate in Grimsby.

It's reported that a man was assaulted by an unknown male, who punched the victim several times and pinned him against the wall before leaving the area.

The victim was taken to hospital to receive treatment for head injuries.

The male in question is reported as being approximately 30 years old, white, of large build, around 6’ tall, short brown hair and wearing grey joggers and an aqua green t-shirt.

Police say it's believed the male offender was in the company of another man and they're keen to talk to both men.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information, or anyone who was in the area at the time who may have witnessed the assault to contact them on 101 quoting crime reference 16/81007/21.
