Severn Trent says work to fix the road surface of a key route in Gloucestershire is progressing "really well".
Teams have been working through the night to get the A417 Over Causeway back open again "as quickly as possible".
A burst water main caused heavy traffic at the weekend - the road is shut westbound between Westgate Retail Park and Over Roundabout.

A Severn Trent spokesperson told us: “Our teams have been working through the night to fully reinstate the road after fixing the burst.
"That work is expected to be completed this evening when we will be able to reopen the road.
"We would like to apologise for any inconvenience while we complete this complex repair and thank everyone for their patience.”
