Women's sport teams given funding boost
The Lionesses success is being recognised through a £30 million fund.
The Government have announced funding to encourage more women and girls to get involved with sports.
It comes after many were inspired by the success of the Lionesses at this year's FIFA World Cup in Australia.
It promises to deliver 30 new state of the art 3G pitches supporting women's and girl's teams across England.
Gloucestershire club Leckhampton Rovers FC have seen a huge increase in the number of women getting involved with the club.
Andy Pitchford, a trustee there, said: "We've been gradually building our girl's team and we now have a girls team in every age group.
"So it's been a real expansion for us, and you can seen lots of those girls have been inspired by the Lionesses in various ways."
"Funding would be really welcome because football's a really simple game and it should be easy for anyone to pick up.
"But inevitably there are some complications and one of those is facilities.
"Cheltenham is short of sports facilities."
