A 30 year-old man from Stroud's been arrested after a woman was sexually assaulted in the town.
It happened around 6.15pm on the canal path near Chestnut Lane swing bridge.
The man was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and was released on bail while enquiries continue.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact police.
