Woman pleads guilty to causing deaths of two people in Chipping Norton crash
Collision in December 2022 left two dead and three seriously injured
A 21-year-old woman from Chipping Norton has admitted to dangerous driving which caused the deaths of two people in Gloucestershire last year.
Liberty Mitchell appeared at Gloucester Crown Court on 18th December, where she pleaded guilty to two counts of causing death by dangerous driving, three counts of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and two counts of causing death while driving uninsured.
The charges stem from a collision on the B4425 in Riversmeet North on 2nd December 2022.
Taxi driver Octavian Codreanu and school teacher Moyra Whelan lost their lives in the crash.
Three other people were seriously injured during the incident.
Mitchell was arrested at the scene and later charged.
At the hearing, Mitchell was given an interim driving disqualification and released on bail ahead of sentencing.
She is due to return to Gloucester Crown Court on 13th February 2026.
