Woman found dead at house in Gloucester

Police are treating the death as unexplained but non-suspicious

Police were called to a house in Gloucester yesterday (Monday, July 18) after reports that a woman was found dead at an address on Ashmore Road.

They arrived at the property shortly after 9:40am yesterday, and the woman was pronounced deceased. Her name and age have not yet been confirmed.

Police have told us they are treating the death as unexplained but non-suspicious, and that their next of kin has been informed.

A police spokesman said:

"Police were called to Ashmore Road in Gloucester shortly after 9.40am yesterday (Monday 18 July) following a report that the body of woman had been found within a property.

"The death is being treated as unexplained but non-suspicious. The woman's next of kin and coroner’s office have been informed."

"We can confirm there is no longer a cordon in place and police have since left the scene."
