Woman assaulted in Coleford

The victim says she was approached by a man, who tried to put his hand down her trousers

Police in the Forest of Dean are appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault in Coleford.

It happened yesterday afternoon (30th October) around 4 pm.

A woman says she was approached by a man, whilst on her way to the shops on South Road.

He then grabbed her, and attempted to put his hand down her trousers, before she kicked him. The man left in the direction of Broadwell Crossroads.

Officers attended the scene and conducted services, but were unable to locate the man.

He's been described as white, in his late 20s, with short brown hair and a clean-shaven face.

Anyone who saw what happened, or saw the man in the area, is being encouraged to contact police - quoting 362 of 30th October.
