A 40 year old woman has admitted to stealing a disabled man's mobility scooter - who then later collapsed and died.
Kimberley Hawkins from no fixed address in the Stroud area has pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicle taking and ABH following the incident on the 22nd of January.
Neil Shadwick - who was suffering with Parkinson's Disease - was found unresponsive in the car park of a local supermarket later that day.
A member of staff found him at the Tesco superstore in Stratford Park, Stroud at about 6am that morning.
He was then rushed to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, where he later died.
During the hearing, the judge - Ian Lawrie KC - explained that more had to be unpacked about Mr Shadwick's cause of death, especially because of the health issues he was suffering with on the day of the incident.
The 63-year-old from Archway Gardens in Stroud had an implant in his body and also had difficulty communicating verbally.
Following the incident, it was revealed Mr Shadwick's mobility scooter was found later that day in Bisley Old Road in Stroud.
The case - in which Hawkins has admitted to aggravated vehicle taking without consent and assault causing actual bodily harm - has been adjourned until August 18.
A post-mortem investigation into his death was found to be inconclusive - with examinations continuing.
