Several locations in the county have opened books of condolences

People in Gloucestershire are being encouraged to sign books of condolences, or lay floral tributes in memory of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Alternatively, for those who can't make it in person to any of the local books, a national online version has been created and can be found here

Gloucester

Gloucester City Council have opened a book of condolence in the Museum of Gloucester, adding that the death of her Majesty is felt with "great sadness".

Cheltenham

Cheltenham's Mayor, Councillor Sandra Holliday has shared a message of condolence at the Municipal Offices in the town.

Open from 8.45am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The Pulse, Castle Street, Dursley

Open from 6am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday.

Wotton Civic Centre, 2 Gloucester Street, Wotton-under-Edge

Open from 9am to 12.30pm, Monday to Sunday.

Residents who wish to lay floral tributes are welcome to do so at Stratford Park, Stroud.

A dedicated space has been made available on the grass bank at the top side of the main car park, adjacent to the coach bays.

Tewkesbury

In Tewkesbury, tributes can be signed at Tewkesbury Borough Public Services Centre.

The authority also say that floral tributes are welcome outside the Public Services Centre.

Forest of Dean

At 3 pm today (09/09) the Chair of Forest of Dean District Council will be laying a floral tribute to Her Majesty the Queen.
