This is causing stress and anxiety for people experiencing fuel poverty.

The Cadent Foundation have found 6.3 million people living in fuel poverty are choosing between heating or eating.

The Churn Project in Cirencester has opened a warm bank for individuals who are struggling to keep up with their energy bills.

Erin Hughes, the Fundraising and Marketing manager there said: "A lot of people are really struggling and people who were able to dig into their savings pots last year are not in that position anymore this year.

"That's why this need for somewhere to come to have hot food and a warm space to sit in is so important."

"For many of them they are really struggling from mental health issues, many of which are a direct result of being in fuel poverty."

The warm space is open every Friday afternoon.
