Wanted man Vernon Steele arrested following appeal
Officers had asked the public for help in finding the 59-year-old
Police have arrested a man wanted on a warrant for failing to appear at court.
Officers had appealed for help in locating 59-year-old Vernon Steele earlier this week.
Steele, who was on court bail after he had been charged with four counts of raping a woman last year, was arrested yesterday evening (Friday 20 December).
Steele has links to Tewkesbury, Berkeley, Gloucester, Worcester and Bromsgrove.
Officers would like to thank everyone who shared their wanted appeal or submitted information on Steele’s whereabouts.
