Two people were taken to hospital after a light aircraft crashed on the A419 on Tuesday evening (28th August).
Emergency services were called to the scene, close to Aston Down Airfield at around 4:45pm.
The two occupants, both qualified pilots, suffered some injuries and were taken by ambulance to hospital to be checked over.
An investigation is now underway to establish the cause of the crash.
Gloucestershire Police said in a statement: "There were two occupants on board who will be assessed by the ambulance service, and it is understood that no other vehicles were involved."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 16:46hrs on Tuesday 27 August to an incident near Stroud.
"We sent one double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance, a rapid response vehicle and an operations officer to the scene.
"We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Southmead Hospital and one patient to Gloucester Royal Hospital”.
Chris Cooper, press officer at the Cotswold Gliding Club said: "On August 27, 2024 a Grob 109B two-seater motor glider from the Cotswold Gliding Club was involved in an incident whilst landing from a local flight.
"The two occupants, who are both qualified pilots, suffered some injuries and were taken by ambulance to hospital to be checked over.
"The A419 road past Aston Down airfield was closed overnight to permit removal of the aircraft.
"The incident is currently under investigation by the Air Accident Investigation Branch of the Department for Transport, the British Gliding Association and the local police."
