Two teenage girls were assaulted by a man and a woman in Gloucester city centre last week.

The girls, aged 17 an 18, were on Eastgate Street at around 8pm last Friday - when they were approached by a man and a woman.

They became verbally aggressive towards the two girls, who tried to walk away down Clarence Street - the man and woman followed them before assaulting them - their injuries aren't thought to be serious.

Officers are now trying to trace the man and the woman, who were not known to the girls, and are appealing for help from the public.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact officers.
