Tributes paid to young Gloucester mum killed in M32 crash
Her family say their hearts have been broken beyond repair
The family of a woman who died when the car she was in crashed on the M32 this week, say they are absolutely devastated.
Tenisha Cooper from Gloucester, who was just 23, was fatally injured when the Vauxhall Astra she was a passenger in came off the carriageway into the undergrowth beside it.
It happened on the Southbound side between junction one for Hambrook and two for Eastville at about 2am on Monday 30 August.
The female driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drink driving and has been released under investigation.
âWe have been absolutely devastated by the loss of our beloved Tenisha," a statement from her family reads.
"Our hearts have truly been broken beyond repair.
âWe cannot believe that such a beautiful young girl, who had the rest of her life ahead of her, has been taken from us so soon.
âThe whole family are still struggling to process this tragedy and we are hugely heartbroken for Tenishaâs two-year-old son that she now leaves behind, whom she doted on so very dearly.
"He will now grow up with very few memories of his loving mother and an empty space that nobody can ever fill.
âWe would also like to say that weâve been totally overwhelmed by both the love and support received from family and friends, as well as the Gloucester community â for this we will be forever grateful and thank you to everyone that has shown so much compassion and sympathy during our darkest hour.â
The police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage of the car either during the incident or shortly beforehand.
