Three boys arrested after man hit in face with piece of wood in Cirencester

Police investigations continue after three boys were arrested over the weekend after a man was hit in the face with a piece of wood in Cirencester.
Gloucestershire Police say it happened on Somerford Road on Tuesday evening (June 13), with the victim - a man in his 50s - needing hospital treatment following the incident, which involved a group of boys shouting at the victim before hitting him in the face with a piece of wood.
It happened on the bridge over the A429 at around 7.15pm and left the victim with facial and head injuries.
Two of the boys, aged 15, were arrested on Saturday 17 June after information was provided by the public following an appeal.
A 14-year-old boy also handed himself in at a police station on Saturday night.
Gloucestershire Police say the three boys have since been released on bail with conditions which include not to associate with each other.
