Teenagers charged with murder following death in Cheltenham

A man in his 40s died following an incident in the St Paul’s area

Two teenage boys have been charged with murder following the death of a man in Cheltenham earlier this week.

The boys, aged 15 and 17 and from Cheltenham, have also been charged with robbery and possession of a bladed article.

Both teenagers have been remanded in custody and are set to attend Cheltenham Magistrates' Court for their first hearing today, Friday 19th December.

The case concerns an incident in the St Paul’s area of Cheltenham on Tuesday afternoon, 16th December, during which a man in his 40s lost his life.

Another man, who was arrested at the same time as the teenagers, has been released, with no further action being taken against him.

Three other people from Cheltenham were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They have been bailed and are expected to return at a later date.
