Road closures have been put in place in Churchdown, Gloucester, following reports of a suspected grenade found in a shed.

Nearby residents have been evacuated as a precaution so that a team of bomb disposal experts can assess the item.

Officers received the report at around 12.15pm on Wednesday (26 March) and a cordon has been put into place around the address on Cheltenham Road East.

Police have asked people to avoid the area.
