Man arrested following serious two-car collision in Stroud
The occupants of both cars were taken to hospital with serious injuries
A man has been arrested following a collision in Stroud that left several people with serious injuries.
Gloucestershire Police were alerted to an incident taking place on London Road at the end of April.
When officers responded to the incident, they found that a car had overturned close to the BP petrol station in the town.
Following lines of enquiry, they found that a white Ford EcoSport and a grey Skoda Superb had collided on the road at around 11:55pm on April 30th.
Emergency services were called to the scene and brought all occupants of both cars to hospital where they were treated for their injuries, which have been described as "serious, but not life-threatening".
After investigations into the crash were launched, Gloucestershire Police arrested a 41-year-old man from Bristol on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of alcohol.
The suspect was bailed while investigations continue, and now the police force have urged the public to come forward with any information they may have regarding the collision.
Anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the crash, or may have some dashcam footage of the road just before the crash took place is being asked to come to police as quickly as possible.
