Storm Eunice: More strong winds expected today as clean up operation begins

A yellow warning for wind is in place until 6pm

Less than 24 hours after Storm Eunice battered Gloucestershire, another warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office.

It's just a yellow warning this time, so we won't see anywhere near as strong winds as yesterday when the county was hit by a rare red warning.

The weather could hamper efforts to clean the county up following yesterday's storm, which saw trees blocking roads, and power outages across the county

Western Power has been working through the night to restore power to hundreds of thousands of people following Storm Eunice

Over 350,000 homes lost electricity yesterday - as winds of up to 100 MPH hit the region

Close to 900 properties across Gloucestershire are still affected this morning.

Great Western Railway say rail services will be disrupted as Network Rail start to clear the debris on the lines.

The M48 Severn Bridge remains closed in both directions, ahead of a full inspection later this morning.
