Six people arrested in Gloucester city centre on Saturday night
"We will continue to work at tackling this to ensure that people wanting to enjoy a night out in Gloucester are safe."
Six people were arrested by police in Gloucester city centre on Saturday night (23 August) as part of Operation Comet.
Operation Comet looks to create safer spaces by preventing youth harm, anti-social behaviour, male violence against women and girls, knife crime and the use and sale of drugs during the night-time economy.
Extra officers took part in multiple patrols to keep the public safe from harm by targeting offenders who operate in the night-time economy
Police Sergeant Oliver Padfield, from the Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "These arrests show that we are taking action on those people who come to our city intent on breaking the law."
