The air show will go ahead as planned today, despite the yellow weather warning for strong winds in the area.

200,000 people are expected across the three days at RAF Fairford - as the world's largest military air show continues.

They are advising people travelling to them tomorrow to wrap up warm in waterproof clothing and appropriate footwear.

Today's theme at the air show is "Sustainability".

Nathaniel Hooton from Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service says both the military and local fire services are well prepared in case of emergency, and the local crew will be around providing advice over the weekend.

Tickets for the event last year sold out completely after the Air show's three year hiatus due to Covid-19, with a visit from A-list aviation fan Tom Cruise.
