Police in Stroud investigate race attack in Lidl car park

Anyone who saw an incident in the car park of Lidl in Stroud where a man was racially and physically abused is being asked to contact Gloucestershire Police.

It happened at 5.40pm on Tuesday 25th March at the supermarket on Dudbridge Road.

The victim says a man approached him after they'd had a disagreement about parking, pushing him to the ground and shouting a racist remark at him.

A 33 year old man from Stonehouse who was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated public order and common assault was later bailed pending further enquiries.

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw what happened.
