Police watchdog investigating crash in Cheltenham in which motorcyclist was injured

A crash which led to a motorcyclist being taken to hospital in Cheltenham has been referred to the police watchdog.

It happened around 2.20pm on Tuesday 31 October.

A motorcyclist had been stopped by police on Tennyson Road, but had ridden off before enquiries could be completed. The motorbike then collided with a van.

Nobody else was injured - and the rider was later discharged from hospital.

Enquiries are continuing and the incident has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to prior interaction with the police.
