Police in Gloucestershire are appealing for information from the public in an attempt to piece together the movements of a woman who was assaulted in a car in the city last month.

The woman was on her way home from a city club when she was picked up by a white car in High Street around 11pm on Saturday 24th October.

Once in the car, she challenged the driver about the route they were taking home. He then slapped her but when she tried to ring her partner he slapped the phone from her hand and threw it out of reach.

Soon after, she lost consciousness and later woke up on an grassy area near to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

One of her boots had been taken off and the driver was standing over her.

She managed to run away after hitting the man with her boot - it's not believed that she was sexually assaulted during the incident.

Officers are now trying to track down the driver who's described as a 5ft 6 tall, white man. He has short dark hair with silver flecks.
