Police looking for woman after suspected fake charity scam in Stonehouse

An 80 year old man was approached by a woman who said she worked for a charity.

Police are trying to identify woman in connection with a suspected fake charity scam.

A woman approached an 80 year old man in Stonehouse claiming to be a charity worker, and encouraged him to withdraw £200 from a cashpoint.

She requested money, and when he said he had no cash, it is alleged the woman escorted him to a cash point on the High Street and helped him withdraw £200. She then ran away.

Investigating officers have now released images of a woman who they want to speak to in connection with the investigation.

Police have released CCTV images.
