Police investigate series of burglaries in Barton and Tredworth

10 incident were reported in 24 hours

Police are investigating a series of break-ins across Barton and Tredworth - with 10 reported in the space of 24 hours.

Reports of burglaries came flooding in between Wednesday morning and Thursday - including one at a primary school.

They took place in Millbrook Street, All Saints Road, Pembroke Street, Charles Street, Raglan Street, Carmarthen Street and Napier Street.

A further two took place in Millbrook Street and Sinope Street between Tuesday 24 August and Wednesday 25 August.

Officers believe that the incidents, which involve doors and sheds being smashed, are linked. and enquiries are on-going.

They are now appealing for anyone with CCTV or doorbell camera footage to come forward.

A man from Gloucester has been arrested and is currently in police custody awaiting questioning.
