Police have identified a group of people they wanted to speak to in connection with a man's death in Gloucester.

Darren Elliott, 54, died in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Tuesday 8 February after collapsing on Southgate Street the previous day.

Detectives have been trying to piece together his final 48 hours, leading up to his death.

The customers in the kebab shop are not being treated as suspects but officers would like to speak to them about anything they may have witnessed.

Mr Elliott had visited the shop to buy food on Sunday 6 February between 8.40pm and 8.50pm.

Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have assisted a person in a wheelchair, or may have seen them in difficulty, between Kebab Express on Bristol Road and Robinhood Street at around that time.

A post-mortem is being carried out to establish the cause of death.

Officers would also like to speak to anybody with CCTV or dashcam footage, particularly along Bristol Road, who has not already spoken to the police.
