Police called to crash near Tewkesbury involving bike and car

It's understood delays will continue into the afternoon

Police are at the scene of a crash on the M5 this morning (May 29).

Emergency services were called following reports of a collision involving the driver of a car and a motorcyclist on the M5 over a bridge.

In a statement, officers said: "We’re at the scene of a collision on the Ashchurch Interchange near junction 9 of the M5.

"Emergency services were called at around 8.25am following a report of a collision involving the driver of a car and a motorcyclist on the M5 over bridge.

"A closure has been put in place on the northbound M5 exit slip road at junction 9 while paramedics attend to those involved.

"Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police is asked to submit information by completing the following online form quoting incident 98 of 29 May."
