Police appeal after teenager injured in Gloucester altercation

Gloucestershire Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was injured during an altercation in Gloucester during the early hours of Sunday morning (3 September).

Police were called to Sybil Road in Tredworth at around 12.20am with a report that an altercation involving numerous people had broken out in the street

During the altercation, a 16-year-old boy was assaulted sustaining head injuries.

He was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for treatment where he remains at this time.

Three males, aged 17, 19 and 55, were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and affray in connection with the incident.

A second 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and obstructing police.

They all remain in police custody at this time.

Despite the arrests, investigating officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area at this time and has not yet spoken to police to make contact.

Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who has mobile phone or dashcam footage of the altercation.
