Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident at an event in Gloucester Park earlier this month.

Officers are investigating a report of a teenage boy on a bicycle who was seen waving a knife.

Police think he may have attempted to assault another teenager during the Jamaica Day event on the 4 August.

Their statement says 'The boy on the bike was described as being of mixed heritage, 5ft in height, and wearing a light coloured t-shirt.'

A number of enquiries have taken place and officers would now like to speak to anyone who witnessed a teenager matching the description cycling around the park between 7pm and 7.30pm.

A 14-year-old boy from Gloucester has been arrested on suspicion of affray in connection with the incident. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
