Police are investigating after a teenage girl was reportedly pulled into a vehicle by four people in Cheltenham.

It happened around 8.10pm yesterday - when a man reported to police that a group of young people had approached him - to say they had seen it happen in Gwernant Road at the junction with Alma Road.

She was reportedly pulled into a grey BMW - which was then driven away erratically along Alma Road towards the Lansdown Road area.

Vehicle checks were made in the area and numerous enquiries have been carried out today.

The girl is not believed to be someone who has been reported missing in the county so police are now asking the public for any information that may help identify her or those in the vehicle.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact police on 101.
