Officers were called to a report that a white Ranger Rover had been set alight on Bloomfield Road at around 11pm on Saturday (November 8)
Police are appealing for information in connection with a suspected arson attack in Gloucester on Saturday night (8 November).
Officers were called to a report that a white Ranger Rover had been set alight on Bloomfield Road at around 11pm.
It was reported that a white Polo hatchback had pulled up at the address and two men wearing hooded tops and balaclavas had got out carrying metal poles.
They proceeded to smash the windows of a property before setting fire to the car which was parked on the street.
It is believed that one of the men may have injured themselves as they started the blaze.
They then returned to the car where a third man, who had remained in the vehicle, drove them in the direction of Stroud Road.
Officers have conducted house-to-house enquiries and have reviewed CCTV and ring doorbell footage of the incident. They are investigating whether this has been a case of mistaken identity of the victims.
Police are now appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
