Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward following a robbery in Brockworth yesterday morning.

It happened at a premises on Abbotswood Road shortly after 7am.

Two men have entered a shop and made a threat towards staff before stealing £3,000 worth of cigarettes.

The suspects, who were dressed in black and had covered their faces with balaclavas, filled a blue wheelie bin with the cigarettes before placing them in a grey or silver coloured Volkswagen Golf.

It is believed that the number plates of the car had been removed. It drove off in the direction of Ermin Street.

Police have released CCTV images and they are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident and who has not already spoken to officers to come forward.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact officers on 101.
