An inquest has been formally opened into their deaths
It has been revealed that two people who died after being swept into the sea at a Cornish harbour were a father and daughter from Gloucester.
A massive rescue operation was launched at Mullion Cove on Monday 2nd November after the pair ended up in the water.
Police, paramedics, the RNLI, coastguard crews and the rescue helicopter were all called to the scene but tragically they could not be saved.
They have now been named as 47-year-old Matthew Philip Smith and 26-year-old Bonnie Marie Smith, both from Abbeydale.
Inquests have been formally opened and will be heard in April next year.
At the time of the incident, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called by the Coastguard at 7.15pm last night to Mullion Cove, Helston, following reports of that two people had been swept into the sea from the harbour wall.
"Ambulance, Police, HM Coastguard and their helicopter attended the scene.
"A woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s, were recovered from the water by the Coastguard helicopter crew and taken to Treliske hospital.
"Sadly, they were both later confirmed deceased. Their next of kin have been informed.
"The deaths are not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course."

The team from the Penlee Lifeboat paid tribute saying thoughts are with the friends and family of those involved.
"The Lizard all-weather lifeboat and Penlee inshore lifeboat launched to reports of two people swept off the harbour wall into the water at Mullion Cove, making their way in rough sea conditions and strong winds.
"Due to the rough and dark conditions, the Lizard all-weather lifeboat then escorted Penlee inshore lifeboat back to Newlyn.
"Sadly, it has been confirmed that the two have since passed away, and our thoughts are with their family and friends.''
