Multi-vehicle crash on M5 in Gloucestershire

Emergency services were called at 5.20pm.

There's been a multi-vehicle collision on the M5 southbound in Gloucestershire.

Emergency services were called to the M5 southbound carriageway between Junctions 8 M50 and Junction 9 for Tewkesbury.

This was reported to police at 5.20pm. The road has now re-opened

There are still long delays and motorists are advised to find alternative routes.

At this time it is understood that there are no serious injuries, however there is debris which needs to be cleared and work is ongoing to remove the damaged vehicles.
