Motorcyclist in hospital with broken arm and ribs after crash on A38 in Gloucestershire

The road reopened at around 10.30pm last night after investigations took place

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man sustained injuries in a crash on the A38 in Gloucestershire yesterday (Thursday 21 April).

Officers were called to the scene between Norton and Coombe Hill shortly after 4.40pm.

The collision involved a blue Suzuki GSX-1000 motorbike and white Ford transit van.

The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old man from the Forest of Dean, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol. His injuries include a broken arm and ribs and he remains in hospital. The driver of the van was uninjured.

Road closures were put in place while a collision investigation took place and these were reopened around 10.30pm last night.

Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage.
