Motorbike rider rushed to hospital after serious crash in Yate

A 39 year old man has been arrested on suspicion of careless driving - and drug driving - after a serious crash in Yate.

It happened between a blue car and a motorbike on Monday afternoon with a bike rider rushed to hospital with serious leg injuries.

The man who was arrested has since been released under investigation, and Avon and Somerset Police is asking anyone who can help to get in touch.

In a statement, Avon and Somerset Police said: "Dashcam footage and witnesses are being sought by officers in our road policing unit following a collision in Yate on Monday 22 May.

The collision, involving a blue car and motorcycle, happened at about 4.50pm in Badminton Road.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries. His condition is not believed to be life-threatening."
