Man in his 20s dies after Gloucester crash

Police want to hear from anyone with information on what happened

A man in is 20s has died after a crash near Gloucester.

The collision - between a HGV and a black Hyundai - took place just after 4am on Saturday 23 October, on the A417 at Crickley Hill.

Despite paramedics being on the scene, the driver of the Hyundai i10 was pronounced dead at the scene. He was from the North West of England.

The lorry driver emerged uninjured from the crash.

Road closures have been in place at the location of the incident for several hours, on the stretch of road between the A46 Shurdington Road junction and the Air Balloon Roundabout.

Gloucestershire Police is now urging motorists to avoid the area - diversions are in place.

Officers are also encouraging any witnesses, and those with relevant dashcam footage, to call 101 and quote incident 81 of 23 October.
