Man dies in fatal collision in Cirencester

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man died in a fatal collision in Cirencester last night.

The single-vehicle collision happened around 11.45pm involving a silver Vauxhall Insignia which had been travelling on the A429 Stow Road.

The male driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

Road closures remain in place on the A429 at the junction with Welsh Way and Cherry Tree Lane crossroads. These are expected to remain in place until later this afternoon (Sunday).

Officers would like to hear from any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage, who have not already spoken to police. You can call police on 101, quoting incident 494 of 26 February.
