Man dies following crash in the Cotswolds

A woman also remains in hospital with serious injuries

A man has died following a fatal crash in the Cotswolds.

It happened on Friday evening at around 5.30pm (1 October), involving two-vehicles on the A433 near Coates. A car collided with a wall on the scene.

A motorist, a 73-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin and the coroner have been informed.

A woman also remains in Southmead Hospital with serious injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while officers carried out an investigation.

Any witnesses to the incident who have not yet spoken to officers are asked to call Gloucestershire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 341 of 1 October.
