Man dies following collision with car on A38 near Tewkesbury

A man has died after a collision on the A38 near Tewkesbury.

Gloucestershire Constabulary say it involved a car and a pedestrian and happened at around 4:50pm yesterday near Deerhurst Walton.

Officers were called to reports of a collision involving a Honda Civic and a pedestrian, a man aged in his 60s.

Emergency services attended, including an air ambulance, however despite their best efforts the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and will be supported by a specially trained officer.

Investigation work took place overnight with the A38 reopening this morning.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage and has not yet spoken to officers is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police.
