Man from Cardiff charged with two counts of rape due in court in Gloucestershire

A man has been charged with two counts of rape in Stroud.

Rafal Adam Bazmierowski, from Cardiff, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Gloucester Crown Court on Monday.

The offences are alleged to have taken place in the Painswick area in February.

The 36-year-old has also been charged with non-fatal strangulation and false imprisonment

The offences are alleged to have happened in the Painswick area of Stroud and were committed against a woman whom he did not know.
